Day 2 of the National IP Yatra 2025-26, held on 20th December 2025 in Pune, advanced the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047 by strengthening a robust, IP-driven ecosystem for MSMEs, startups, and innovators. The sessions focused on practical IP creation, compliance, commercialization, sector-specific challenges, and workforce resilience.
Organised by AIC-Pinnacle, with the support of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India, Day 2 began with a welcome address by Sunil Dhadiwal, CEO, AIC-Pinnacle, Pune, who reaffirmed the importance of embedding Intellectual Property thinking at the earliest stages of enterprise creation and scaling.
The day featured an in-depth workshop on How to Create IP in Small Enterprises and Startups, led by Vedant Pujari, Partner, Accures IP Care. The session provided practical clarity on identifying IP across products, services, processes, software, algorithms, data, branding, and business identity, while addressing IP risks in AI, SaaS, and digital platforms.
This was followed by a focused session on IP Compliance and Due Diligence by NILESH PANDIT, IPR Lead, Tata Consultancy Services, who shared strategies for building strong in-house IP governance frameworks aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
The discussion then moved to IP as a Commercial Asset, where Harshvardhan Melanta elaborated on leveraging patents, designs, copyrights, and trade secrets as value drivers for licensing, partnerships, and investment readiness, offering practical insights into IP valuation and structuring for scale.
Sector-specific perspectives were highlighted in the session on IP in the Hospitality Industry by Chaitanya Adgaonkar, who addressed brand enforcement, online infringement risks, counterfeit branding challenges, and the growing importance of protecting technology and software assets such as PMS platforms, mobile applications, loyalty programs, and AI-driven pricing systems.
The From Lab to Market: Commercialisation Pathways session by Gowri Gokhale provided a structured roadmap from prototype to market-ready products, emphasising industry validation, proof of adoption, and effective risk mitigation in technology deployment.
A high-impact panel discussion on Building a Resilient Workforce: Social Security and Retirement Planning for MSMEs and Startups in the Vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 brought together @Sagar Shinde, Ashish Garde, and Akshay Chaskar, with the session being moderated by Vivek Kumar.
The panel highlighted the importance of social security frameworks and retirement planning as critical enablers for sustainable workforce development in MSMEs.
Day 2 concluded with the IPFC and closing ceremony led by Shadab Husain, Senior Manager, AIC-Pinnacle, who expressed gratitude to all speakers, panellists, participants, and stakeholders for their active engagement and meaningful contributions across both days of the National IP Yatra.
