National IP Yatra 2025-26 kicked off, marking the start of a high-impact national dialogue

Day 1 of the National IP Yatra 2025-26 kicked off, marking the start of a high-impact national dialogue on strengthening India’s Intellectual property ecosystem for a Developed India by 2047.

The first day of the two-day national-level program was successfully conducted in Pune, bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, IP professionals, startups, and MSMEs on a common platform.

Organised with the support of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India, Day 1 commenced with an inaugural and lamp lighting ceremony in the presence of distinguished Guests and Guests of Honour, including Abhay Daptardar, Pratik Hendre, Vedant Pujari, Manasi Padhye, Mohammed Faisal, and Sunil Dhadiwal.

The welcome address was delivered by the CEO of AIC-Pinnacle, Mr. Sunil Dhadiwal, who set the context for the National IP Yatra by emphasising the critical role of Intellectual Property in empowering MSMEs, startups, and innovators.

This was followed by a special startup address by the Guest of Honour, MSME representative, Mr. Abhay Daptardar, on the theme “MSME Innovation & the Power of Intellectual Property”, highlighting how structured IP adoption can accelerate sustainable business growth.

The day featured a thought-provoking panel discussion on “IP as the Next Growth Engine for India’s Innovation Economy”, with insights from Priyanka Kulkarni, Manasi Padhye, and Mohammed Faisal and moderated by Vedant Pujari.

The discussion underscored the importance of patents, trademarks, and designs as strategic business assets and reinforced the growing need for IP awareness and protection across India’s innovation ecosystem.

Practical learning took centre stage through expert-led workshops, beginning with a session on strengthening IP filing and enforcement in India by Chitra Arvind, followed by an IP Office–led session by Pratik Hendre, which highlighted MSME readiness initiatives under Make in India, Patent in India, Design in India, and Create in India.

Another high-engagement panel explored the creation of IP assets with a focus on business growth and commercialization, featuring perspectives from Kapil Gaur, Ajay Pillai and Pratik Hendre & moderated by Chitra Arvind.

The day concluded with insightful sessions on competition and fair markets in IP-driven industries by Manasi Padhye, followed by a forward-looking address on IP commercialization as a growth engine for India @2047 by Kapil Gaur, addressing emerging challenges in AI, digital platforms, and data-driven sectors.

Day 1 concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Sunil Dhadiwal, CEO, AIC-Pinnacle, expressing gratitude to the Ministry of MSME, all distinguished speakers, panellists, partners, and participants for their valuable contributions and active engagement in advancing India’s IP-driven innovation journey.
